the day of the dead
ARMTBIKE is Adventure Race México
We are the only race in the world that offers you a complete mountain bike package.
Hotels, meals, logistics, mechanical support, and much more over 500 kilometers through the Western Sierra Madre of Jalisco. Ride through forests, deserts, long mud stretches, high mountain forests, agave landscapes, grueling climbs, vast plains, jungles, river crossings, hanging bridges, waterfalls, and reach our beautiful Puerto Vallarta, but not before crossing on your bike the longest vehicle suspension bridge in the world.
Single tracks, technical trails, and wide open paths will witness your effort in 6 stages.
Let’s talk about our night route.
Our night route is spectacular, a long and exhausting climb that will leave you drained but thrilled to conquer it. After this, it’s all happiness—descend and ride through a magical forest until you reach an impressive cemetery. Travel paths surrounded by very Mexican tombs, then finish by riding through the cobbled streets of Mascota and end with a Day of the Dead party in a place full of magic.

WHAT IS ARM?
Adventure Race Mexico Mountain Bike Race
It is the toughest point-to-point MTB stage race in Mexico.

MAGICAL TOWNS
Jalisco is globally recognized as the state that represents Mexico as a country. “JALISCO IS MEXICO,” and our state is home to many beautiful and picturesque towns, very traditional, full of hardworking and kind people.
Some towns that ARM crosses are:
Zacoalco de Torres: A famous town, creator of the world-renowned equipal.
Tapalpa: One of our mountain towns, where pine forests reign.
Unión de Tula: The first independent town of Mexico, famous for its “Catrinas.”
Talpa de Allende: A religious, semi-tropical town where the Virgin of Talpa is the patron saint.
Mascota: A town high in the Western Sierra Madre, where pines and cold weather serve as the gateway to Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta: Famous for John Huston’s The Night of the Iguana, golden beaches, and coconut palm trees beneath immense jungle-covered mountains.

DAY OF THE DEAD
Mexico is full of traditions and celebrations, and one of the most important and revered is the Day of the Dead.
Respect, allegory, vibrant colors, and even mockery of death are part of this beautiful tradition where death is a joyful festivity.
Discover our traditions on your mountain bike, riding through beautiful landscapes and cemeteries to reach mythical locations where a lively Day of the Dead celebration awaits you.
With humorous reverence for our deceased, the Day of the Dead is a traditional festivity full of color and joy in honor of our loved ones who have left this earthly realm.
They will be with us at our celebration.
What is LA CATRINA?
During our Day of the Dead celebration, La Catrina will come to give you your calavera—a fun verse or poem that matches your personality. Enjoy an evening under the moonlight in an enigmatic place.
