JALISCO EPIC
It is the only adventure race in the world that offers a complete mountain bike package.
It includes hotels, meals, logistics, and mechanical support across more than 500 kilometers through the Sierra Madre Occidental in Jalisco.
SParticipants will ride through diverse landscapes such as forests, deserts, and jungles, and will cross the longest vehicular suspension bridge in the world to reach Puerto Vallarta, tackling 7 stages with varied trails and roads.
WHAT IS JALISCO EPIC?
Adventure Race Mexico Mountain Bike Race
JALISCO EPIC is Mexico’s toughest multi-stage XC mountain bike race, crossing the Sierra Madre Occidental.
This 100% Jalisco event features a diverse route that includes forests, jungles, deserts, agave landscapes, and beaches. It starts in Bosque La Primavera and finishes in Puerto Vallarta.
MORE THAN 500 KILOMETERS:
JALISCO EPIC is a route covering more than 500 kilometers through the Sierra Madre, divided into 7 stages. Each stage features a Pueblo Mágico where participants can rest and enjoy traditional local cuisine, thanks to the services provided by JALISCO EPIC.
MAGICAL TOWNS
Jalisco, known as the state that represents Mexico, is home to charming towns with friendly and hardworking people.
Some towns that JALISCO EPIC crosses are:
Bosque de la Primavera: A beautiful forest with mountain bike trails.
Isla Grande: A resort located in the dry lagoon of Sayula.
Unión de Tula: The first independent town in Mexico, famous for its catrinas.
El Rosario: A charming mountain town with no internet, promoting connection and integration.
Mascota: A town in the Sierra Madre Occidental, surrounded by pine trees and cool weather, considered the gateway to Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta: Known for its golden beaches and jungle-covered mountains.
DAY OF THE DEAD
Mexico celebrates Día de Muertos, a tradition full of respect, color, and joy, where death becomes a celebration. It invites people to ride through beautiful landscapes and cemeteries by bicycle, honoring and remembering loved ones who have passed away.
La Catrina, the iconic figure of this festivity, hands out skulls and personalized verses, creating a magical celebration under the moonlight.
AWARDS
At the end of the event, JALISCO EPIC trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in the ELITE category.
Medals will also be presented to all JALISCO EPIC finishers.
